Using transcription technology involving keyboard shorthand, the multimedia speech-to-text professional reporter strokes phonetic letter combination codes into a special stenographic keyboard. The computer-aided-transcription (CAT) software, “Eclipse,” simultaneously converts the digital shorthand letters into the normal written text. Alternative technologies that use highly-trained voicewriters using voice-recognition software as the input methodology and “EclipseVox” can accomplish similar results.
